MIDDLETOWN – City officials in Middletown have begun crunching numbers for the 2022 budget and so far, it looks good, said Mayor Joseph DeStefano.

Police and fire staffing levels will remain the same and despite the pandemic and all of its challenges, the mayor said the financial picture looks good.

“We will be able to stay under the tax cap for the 10th straight year and that is an important message to send – maintain services, all the capital projects that we are doing, the millions of dollars of investment,” he said.

Middletown was the first Mid-Hudson city to win a $10 million state Downtown Revitalization Grant.
