TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 28-year-old off-duty Monroe village police officer has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
A two-car accident occurred on Wednesday, September 29 at about 11:51 p.m. at the intersection of Route 211 East and Ballard Road in the Town of Wallkill. The driver of one of the vehicles, off-duty Officer Daniel Lindell, fled the scene on Ballard Road, but was located and stopped by Wallkill Officer Ganesh Bhagwandeen.
Lindell was charged and issued an appearance ticket for Wallkill Town Court.
