NEW ROCHELLE – The family that was involved in a fatal car crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway in New Rochelle early Sunday was from Hempstead, Long Island, police said Monday.
The driver of the car that crashed into brick retaining wall was Troy Carter, 37. He died in the crash.
Twin seven-year-old brothers were in the back seat. Carmello Carter died in the crash. His brother, Romello, was listed in critical condition.
Their sister in the front passenger seat, Tiara Carter, 11, was listed in critical condition in the hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
