Police investigate Nyack shooting

NYACK – A 34-year-old Nyack man sustained two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds early Saturday morning.

Orangetown Police were called to the area of the Riverspace Municipal Parking lot and Artopee Way in Nyack at around 2:25 a.m. for a report of gunfire. Patrolling officers heard several shots fired and found the victim.

Nyack Community Ambulance Corps and the Rockland County Paramedics Services transported the victim to Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

The Orangetown Police Detective Bureau is investigating and says there is no reason to believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
