Orange County prior sex felon sentenced to federal prison

WHITE PLAINS – A 56-year-old Monroe man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on child pornography-related crimes.

Eduardo Talentino previously pled guilty to possessing and accessing with intent to view, images of child pornography, possessing a firearm after having been convicted of a felony, and failing to register as a sex offender.

In addition to his prison term, Talentino was sentenced to lifetime supervised release.

Prior to his current conviction and sentencing, in August 1997 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he was convicted of two counts of rape of a child, one count of assault with intent to commit rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, one count of indecent assault and battery of a person 14 and over, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to minors. He was sentenced to four years and one in prison.

On November 7, 2019, Talentino pled guilty in Orange County Court to unauthorized practice of a profession and was sentenced to one to three years in prison.

In December 2017, he became the guardian of a 16-year-old and while acting as guardian of the minor, was charged with sexually abusing the victim.
