POUGHKEEPSIE – The Poughkeepsie High School football team on Thursday withdrew from its scheduled Saturday game against Irvington High School in Westchester due to COVID exposure by the Poughkeepsie players.  Irvington school district officials made the announcement on Friday.

Sources told Mid Hudson News earlier this week that several members of the Poughkeepsie High School football and volleyball teams have been quarantined due to exposure to the Coronavirus.  School District Superintendent Dr. Eric Rosser was asked about the alleged quarantines on Wednesday.  On Friday afternoon Rosser told Mid Hudson News that he “was not clear on the number of players who were quarantined”.
