SAUGERTIES – Police Chief Joe Sinagra has announced that his department has arrested a suspect in a theft from Saugerties Lumber and Coal that took place in July. Saugerties resident Antoine Scott has been charged with the crime.
Police say that the 43-year-old man stole a gas-powered generator from the business on July 29. The Generac portable machine is valued at $599. Scott was charged on September 16 with Petit Larceny and released on an appearance ticket returnable in Village Court.
