EAST FISHKILL – The large Frito-Lay distribution center planned for the iPark property in the Town of East Fishkill was in the works for a year, said Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro.
The county’s Think Dutchess economic development team was the lead agency in attracting the PepsiCo division to construct the facility in the former IBM property.
“iPark is a complicated property because of the obvious investments that were made decades ago, but this is the right team – Think Dutchess, the investors there, the Town of East Fishkill working together – this is the right team to repurpose that property and this particular project having been encouraged over a year ago by the Think Dutchess Business Alliance and our team is a great next step,” he said.
Another project on the former IBM site, an Amazon distribution center, is under construction.
