MID-HUDSON – The Sullivan County Public Health Department is advising residents that if they worked at or their child attended Camp Veritas at Lake Champion at 247 Mohican Lake Road in Glen Spey from August 14 through August 19, they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Several cases of the virus have resulted from exposures there during that timeframe.

She advised residents to consider any public site in Sullivan County a potential site of COVID-19 exposure, due to a persistent increase in newly diagnosed COVID-19 cases throughout the county.

Mc Graw said the best way to prevent the spread continues to be adhering to proper safety measures such as wearing masks, vaccination, avoiding unnecessary contact with others, as well as practicing basis personal hygiene.

Orange County Health Commissioner Dr. Irina Gelman recommended if anyone or their child was at the Warwick facility and is experiencing symptoms, they should similarly contact their medical provider.

She, too, advised residents to consider any public site in the county as a potential site of COVID-19 exposure.

Gelman also advised residents to continuing wearing their masks, get vaccinated, avoid unnecessary contact with others, as well as practice basic personal hygiene.
