POUGHKEEPSIE – A kitchen fire at a multi-family dwelling at 51 Smith Street required the Poughkeepsie FD to extinguish the blaze.
The fire occurred in the second story apartment around 8 a.m. on Friday. Firefighters put one hose line into use to extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the fire is likely to be considered a culinary disaster.
Mobile Life medics were at the scene to provide assistance if needed.
