NEWBURGH – A fundraising walk for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is taking place on Sunday, September 12, 2021. It is the agency’s 22nd annual “Walk for Housing” to raise money for families in need of affordable housing.
Individuals and Walker Teams are encouraged to participate in this fun community event. Register here to get started now, or just show up on Walk day.
The walk begins at Washington’s Headquarters at 84 Liberty Street in Newburgh. Registration begins at 12:00 PM and the walk begins at 1:00 PM. The Walk is 2.8 miles. A shorter 1.8-mile route is also available. The walk will go past previous projects, ongoing construction, and be walkers will be reminded of the progress that is possible when the community comes together to build homes, community, and hope, according to the event organizers.
