LOCH SHELDRAKE – Prospective students seeking to attend SUNY Sullivan can bring their high school transcript to Discover Day this Saturday and get instant acceptance, beginning their enrollment process.  Academic advisors and financial aid support staff will be available to help potential students prepare for their higher education.w

SUNY Sullivan President Jay Quaintance will be present to discuss how the college can meet a variety of students’ needs. A complimentary lunch will be served and parents are welcome. SUNY Sullivan is a community college offering over 40 degree programs, certificates, and micro-credentials for learners at all levels of their educational goals. The scenic and sustainable 400-acre campus offers small classes and individual attention, and free tutoring, and academic and personal counseling, both virtually and in person. The Sullivan Generals’ nationally ranked athletics teams will be back in action this fall, and this year the college will be launching an E-Sports program. 

The SUNY Sullivan Fall Semester Begins August 30 and will offer both face-to-face instruction and a variety of distance learning courses. The college has programs for students finishing high school, starting college, transitioning their career,  or looking for professional development.  

SUNY Sullivan’s Laptop Loaner Program can assist students who need better access to technology for their studies. And the college offers free parking lot wifi for students and community members.  

SUNY Sullivan’s Presidential Scholars program makes a college education more accessible and more affordable for high-achieving students graduating from Sullivan County high schools. Students with a  minimum overall grade average of 90 are eligible to receive the scholarship. The Presidential Scholars program funds up to full tuition and fees for two years at SUNY Sullivan. 

For prospective students without high school diplomas, SUNY Sullivan’s 24-Credit Hour High School  Equivalency Program could be the perfect fit. Students can enroll in a degree program and earn a high school equivalency diploma while also completing 24 college credits.

SUNY Sullivan now offers a preschool program to children of both students and staff on its Loch  Sheldrake campus, in partnership with the Healthy Kids Programs. Children can be enrolled full or part-time, assuming space is available.  Childcare is open during all on-campus class times.
