WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man who sexually abused a woman after he tricked her into allowing hm to enter her Yonkers apartment, and who was later caught fondling himself by a passerby after he fled the scene, was found guilty after a one-week jury trial in Westchester County Court.

Folarin Soluade, 38, was convicted of burglary as a sexually motivated felony, and public lewdness.

Soluade, a discretionary persistent felony offender, faces 16 to 25 years to life in state prison.

At about 10 a.m. on June 24, 2020, Soluade knocked on doors in a Nepperhan Avenue apartment building in Yonkers trying to gain entry.

He posed as a handyman there to fix a pipe and a woman who did not speak or understand English let him in thinking he was sent by the landlord to do repairs in the bathroom.

Once inside, he dropped his pants and exposed himself.

The woman screamed and ran into the hall where Soluade tried to silence her and assault her. Another resident came to her rescue and Soluade fled.

He was later seen in the parking lot fondling himself, which prompted a second victim to call police.

Soluade is expected to be sentenced next month.
