Hotel employee charged with stealing bridal gift cards

A 38-year-old Monticello woman has been arrested for being in possession of multiple handguns on the campus of Liberty High School last week.

SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man, who worked at the Diamond Mills Hotel during a July 16 wedding, has been arrested and accused of stealing bridal wedding cards from a box that was left unattended in the lobby of the facility.

An investigation by Saugerties Police led to the arrest of 31-year-old Kory Rogers who allegedly stole the cards and concealed them in his sweatshirt while working at the event.

He was arrested on August 15 and charged with felony grand larceny, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Saugerties Village Court.
