CT teen charged with burglary, grand larceny for breaking into car dealership

TOWN OF LLOYD – Following a month-long investigation, Lloyd Town Police arrested a 17-year-old Branford, Connecticut teen and charged him with burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon.

The youth is accused of breaking into a car dealership on Route 299 in Highland in an attempt to steal a car but was unsuccessful.

Once inside the business, he stole a firearm and ammunition before fleeing.

The handgun was recovered by police.

The teen was released on an appearance ticket to the Ulster County Youth Part.

Lloyd Police were assisted in the investigation by the Town of Branford Police in Connecticut.
