Smokey fire damages Newburgh building

NEWBURGH – Thick black smoke billowed from several upper floor windows of a brick building at 30 Johnston Street in the City of Newburgh Monday night.

West Point firefighters were called in to assist city firemen extinguish the flames in the second floor of the building.

There were no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation..
