NEW YORK – State Attorney General Letitia James released her detailed report finding sexual misconduct on the part of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo
The investigation included testimony from 11 woman who testified they were abused by the governor, interviews with 179 individuals and reviewed 1,400 pieces of evidence.
“Governor Cuomo harassed current and state employees in violation of both federal and state laws. The independent investigation found that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, many of whom were young women, by engaging in unwanted groping, kissing, hugging, and by making inappropriate comments. Further, the governor and his senior team took actions to retaliate against at least one former employee for coming forward with her story, her truth,” she said.
James said in one instance, a woman testified that he slipped his hand under her blouse and in another case inappropriately touched a female state trooper assigned to his protection detail while in uniform.
The attorney general said the release of her detailed report, conducted by two well-respected attorneys, concluded her role in the investigation against Cuomo.
