MIDDLETOWN – Police are investigating a shooting incident in Middletown at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday in which two people were reported to have been shot.
A large section of Dolson Avenue was shut down as Middletown and State Police investigators combed the area for clues.
The crime scene extended for several blocks, beginning at County Route 78, where an SUV was seen with bullet holes and shattered windows. A police dog sniffed around for evidence.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the victims or if any suspects were taken into custody.
Detectives were seen taking pictures and marking shell casings all the way down toward ShopRite.
