MONTICELLO – The entire membership of the Sullivan County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association has been credited with their rapid response to a report of an active shooter at Garnet Health Hospital in Harris on the evening of July 29.
It turns out there was no active shooter or threat directly present and members assisted in advising the incoming shifts of hospital staff and visitors to wait outside until the all-clear was officially given.
At the time of the initial emergency call, the PBA members were at the sheriff’s office for their monthly union meeting.
