HUDSON – City Police in Hudson have arrested a 25-year-old Hudson man on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. The stabbing took place Wednesday night near Rope Alley and 2nd Street.

Tavaris Grant allegedly stabbed his victim several times in the chest. The 31-year-old individual is recovering in the hospital.

The arrest of Grant is the result of “an instance where we received support from members of the public who witnessed this crime,” said Police Chief L. Edward Moore.

“When people step forward action can be swiftly taken. Collectively we can make a safer neighborhood,” he said.
