COXSACKIE – A 33-year-old Bronx woman was arrested on the Thruway in Coxsackie on Tuesday while in possession of over 25 ounces of cocaine concealed in a diaper bag.
Shante Pleasant was traveling with her 13-year-old and seven-month-old daughters in the vehicle.
When Pleasant was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation just before noon, State Police learned she did not have a valid driver’s license.
Prior to her 2008 Dodge Charger being towed, the drugs were found in the diaper bag.
Pleasant was charged with two felony counts of drug possession, one with intent to sell, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The children were turned over to a relative and Pleasant was remanded to the Greene County Jail pending further court action.
