NEW YORK – Chief Judge Janet DiFiore and Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence Marks, Wednesday, announced the Unified Court System will be implementing a new policy in response to the increase in the COVID-19 positivity rate.

The new policy, to take effect in the coming weeks, will require Unified Court System judges and non-judicial employees who have not been vaccinated to undergo regular testing for COVID-19.

The new program strongly encourages judges and court employees who have yet done so, to get vaccinated, especially in light of the risks posed by the new COVID-19 variants.

The court officials will release details of the new program in the days ahead.
