MONTICELLO – A 60-year-old Liberty man was sentenced by Sullivan County Court Judge James Farrell to eight years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision for robbing a convenience store in the Town of Thompson in May 2020.

Bradley Goodnough had previously pled guilty to armed robbery admitting that he displayed what appeared to be a firearm while stealing money from the clerk at the Citgo gas station on Wolf Lake Road in Rock Hill on May 21, 2020.

Goodnough was arrested the next day following an investigation by the State Police and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.

“Violent crimes like this change the lives of innocent victims,” said DA Meagan Galligan., “The defendant’s actions put store employees and anyone who may have entered the shop in serious danger and the sentence imposed sends the clear message that this conduct will not be tolerated in Sullivan County.”
