Twenty vehicle break-ins in one community

UNION VALE – Police are investigating 20 vehicle break-ins that occurred on the night of Friday, July 23 into the morning of Saturday, July 24, all in the Union Vale area.

State Police said all the vehicles that were broken in to were unsecured with valuables inside.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said the targeted vehicles were parked in residential driveways on South Parliman Road, Darren Road, Oakbrook Lane, Brookside Lane and Rose Court.

Police urge everyone to lock their vehicles, even in their driveways, and to avoid leaving keys, key fobs, wallets, money, credit cards, or any other valuable items inside them.
