New Rochelle creates position of director of diversity and inclusion

NEW ROCHELLE – The City of New Rochelle is going to hire a director of diversity and inclusion to help achieve its goals of strategic diversity, equality, and inclusion.

The position will ensure that diverse groups of people, including those of different genders, races and ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, religions, cultures, ages and people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, skills, and expertise are well-represented.

“Out stated goal has always been that city staff reflects the diversity of our community. This position will support and advance that value,” said City Manager Charles Strome III.

The position will be posted after August 1 on the city website- www.newrochelleny.com .
