Ulster lawmakers approve community college budget

STONE RIDGE – The SUNY Ulster 2021-22 budget of $27.3 million was approved by the county legislature Tuesday night.

Meeting at the college campus in Stone Ridge, lawmakers approved the spending that includes no tuition hike, no layoffs, and no increase in the county’s $6.4 million share.

Lawmakers also approved a local law authorizing participation in the hunting pilot program for 12- and 13-year-old deer hunters.

They also approved the memorandum of agreement between the county and county CSEA for the years 2020 through 2024 and confirmed the appointment of Dawn Spader as county personnel director.
