GOSHEN – City of Newburgh resident Joshua Williams was arraigned in Orange County Court on Tuesday on an indictment charging him with murder and other crimes in connection with the fatal shooting of a man on Liberty Street in Newburgh on September 19, 2020.
Williams was also charged with manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment in the shooting death of Jaime Fincher.
Bail was set at $750,000 cash, $2 million insurance company bond, or $3 million partially secured bond.
Williams had been wanted on an arrest warrant since June 10, 2021.
Police from the City of Newburgh, Town of New Windsor, and State Police, U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office participated in the investigation that led to his arrest.
