KINGSTON – A 57-year-old Albany man was killed Tuesday night when he was struck by a car while peddling in the area of Schwenk Drive and Washington Avenue in the City of Kingston.
City Police, who did not immediately release his identity, said the man was pinned under the vehicle and attempts to free him were fruitless. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting at the location were the Kingston Fire Department, Mobile Life Support Services, State Police, Ulster County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s Offices, and Town of Ulster Police.
Detectives and investigators as well as the Ulster County Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident.
