Two arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

MAMAKATING – State Police have arrested two men for possession of a large quantity of drugs after a traffic stop on Route 17.   The arrests took place on July 8.

Troopers say they pulled over a Nissan Altima on Route 17 near exit 113 at approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 8 for several traffic violations.  While speaking with the driver, Troopers learned that the two occupants were in possession of approximately 11 ounces of cocaine.

48-year-old Whitney Point resident Andre Farrier and Quiana Montgomery, age 42, of the Bronx, were arrested on felony charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The two were arraigned in Mamakating Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
