MIDDLETOWN – Another sign that the world is returning to some degree of normalcy is that Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County and the Master Gardener Volunteers have ended their 14 months of food to those sheltering at home.

Throughout that time, the groups have served 1,581 families totaling 4,426 people.

Now, thanks to improvements in safety measures, social distancing, masks, and increasing vaccine availability, the need for emergency food deliveries has been reduced.

Therefore, Cornell Cooperative Extension has transitioned to partner agencies and local food banks.

If you need assistance with food, visit https://map.thefoodpantries.org or http://cceorangecounty.org/covid-19/food-during-covid-19 .

It is advised to call any agency before visiting.
