Monticello school bus aide charged with pulling knife

MONTICELLO – A Monticello school district bus aide has been charged with pulling a knife on a coworker during a physical altercation at the district bus garage at 153 Forestburgh Road in the Village of Monticello.

The incident between two women occurred on Friday, June 18.

Starlite Blue Jacobs, 43, of Monticello, allegedly began a fight with another female employee during which she brandished a knife, placing other employees in fear of physical injury.

High School Resource Officer Emmanuel Leon quickly arrived on the scene and along with two other Monticello Police officers disarmed Jacobs.

During the incident, there was a seven-year-old child present.

Jacobs, who was charged with three counts of menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, was arraigned and released on her own recognizance pending a further court appearance.
