KINGSTON – A man wanted on drug charges attempted to elude police on a bicycle, but was apprehended in the City of Kingston in the early morning hours of Friday.
Daniel Tuohy, 53, of VanBuren Street in Kingston was spotted on a bike in the area of Broadway and East O’Reilly Street. As Kingston City Police Patrol Division officers attempted to stop him, he fled the area, but was eventually taken into custody in the area of Hasbrouck Avenue and Grand Street.
Tuohy was charged with two counts of drug possession, two counts of burglary, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
Detective Division officers assisted in the investigation along with Town of Ulster and State Police as well as Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies.
