Esopus man charged with DWI for driving with BAC more than two times legal limit

ROSENDALE – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Esopus man charging him with the misdemeanors of aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated plus several traffic violations.

At around 8 p.m. on June 17, the sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call of a driver slumped over in a vehicle in the Town of Rosendale.

Deputies found Timothy Hagan, 36, who they allege was driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .18 percent and he had recently been in a motor vehicle accident where he crashed into a guide rail.

He was not injured and no other vehicles were involved.

Hagan was arrested and released on an appearance ticket.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Town of Rosendale Police officers.
