Woman arrested with 2,300 bags of heroin/fentanyl

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task has concluded a months-long investigation on Wednesday with the arrest of a Town of Poughkeepsie resident.

Elizabeth Brought, 30, was taken into custody by task force agents on Wednesday along with some 2,300 bags of heroin/fentanyl, $4,600 in cash, packaging materials and scales.

She was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Brought was issued an appearance ticket and released.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division assisted.

Police said additional charges may be pending.
