NEW WINDSOR – Armed with a court authorized search warrant, authorities raided a residence on Belle Court in the Town of New Windsor on Tuesday, arrested a New Windsor man with a half-dozen felony convictions, and seized a cache of drugs.

Bobby Allen, 55, was arrested on federal narcotics charges and police seized 197 grams of crack cocaine, 138 grams of powdered cocaine and some $15,000 in cash.

If convicted, Allen faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison.

Participating in the two-month investigation that led to the arrest and confiscation of drugs were New Windsor Town Police, the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, City and Town of Newburgh Police, State Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group.

“Today’s arrest further demonstrates the focus of this police department on public safety,” said Chief Robert Doss. “Mr. Allen has shown society that he is a very danger criminal.”

Doss said Allen already has six felony convictions on his record and he was out of prison on New York State Parole for a firearm conviction “when he decided it would be a good idea to come to New Windsor and deal illegal narcotics.  That was a big mistake.”
