Port Jervis GOP committee endorses candidates

PORT JERVIS – Early voting for the June 22 primary elections began on Saturday.

In the City of Port Jervis, the Republican committee has endorsed Stanley Siegel for councilman-at-large and in the Third Ward, Dennis Livingston and Mike Decker. Siegel also has Conservative backing. While he has been on the council for nearly 18 years. He was councilman-at-large for two terms, but currently and the rest of the time is the Fourth Ward representative.

Lisa Randazzo has been cuncilwoman-at-large for the last two years.

The Republican Committee endorsed Siegel, a registered blank, this time, for the at-large post and Randazzo is challenging him in the  primary.

GOP Chairman Dave Campbell said the party is promoting communication, sharing of ideas, hard work and transparency in government.

Among the issues before the city is the annexation of property from the Town of Deerpark.

“We want Port Jervis to move forward carefully and successfully. We want the City of Port Jervis to get the best for the citizens of Port Jervis,” he said.

The party has also endorsed incumbents Regis Foster and Dominic Santini in the First ward. In the Second ward, they have endorsed incumbent Maria Mann and newcomer Misty Fuller.

In the Fourth Ward, they are backing incumbent Tim Simmons and political newcomer Melissa Neuhauser.
