CITY OF HUDSON – Police have charged four people in connection with a cache of weapons seized in the City of Hudson days ago.

A 16-year-old was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one count of which was for possession of a defaced gun.

A 17-year-old was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one count of which was for possession of a defaced weapon and one count for an assault weapon.

Dominic Rivenburg, 19, of Catskill was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one count of which was for possession of a stolen firearm.

Donavon Law, 18, of Catskill was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one of which was for possession of a defaced weapon and one for possession of an assault weapon.

The two juveniles were released on their own recognizance to their mothers.

Rivenburg and Law were released pending future court appearances. They were ordered to turn over their remaining guns to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

“We will discover if any of these weapons have been used in any other crimes,” said Chief L. Edward Moore. “While the district attorney recommended bail, it is more than worrisome that they were immediately released back into our neighborhood. This investigation is continuing as we here at HPD are prioritizing the safety of our citizens.”
