LIBERTY – A 33-year-old Fallsburg man has been arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and other crimes for allegedly threatening an individual with a knife during a May 15 incident at a residence on Chestnut Street in the Village of Liberty.

Colone Patterson-Dacosta was taken into custody on June 8 in Monticello by Monticello and Liberty Village Police.

He was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

The Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office recommended to the court that he be held in either $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 secured bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.

Patterson-Dacosta, who was already out on bail from a July 2019 felony arrest for drug possession with intent to sell, and criminal possession of a weapon, was released without bail.
