MOUNT PLEASANT – An 18-year-old Bronx man was killed when his 2020 Dodge Challenger crashed on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Mount Pleasant.
State Police said Jaylan Jailairam was traveling at a high rate of speed on the northbound parkway shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5 when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle spun around 180 degrees before striking the guide rail ad overturning.
Jailairam was transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he died of his injuries.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
