Four promoted at Orange County Sheriff’s Office

GOSHEN – Four members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office have been promoted.

Capt. Meredith McGovern has been with the sheriff’s office for 12 years. She started her law enforcement career in 2007 before transferring to the sheriff’s office. Throughout her career in the office, she has moved through the ranks of deputy sheriff, investigator, sergeant, lieutenant and now as captain.

Lt. Bernard Mendoza began his law enforcement career in 2004. He then became a deputy sheriff 16 years ago. During that time, he moved through the ranks of investigator, sergeant, and now lieutenant.

Sergeant Daniel Brown began his career with the sheriff’s office as a deputy 13 years ago before earning his newest title of sergeant.

Sergeant Thomas Monahan has been in law enforcement for 11 years, nine of which have been with the sheriff’s office where he began as a deputy sheriff until his promotion as sergeant.

The promotions were announced by Sheriff Carl DuBois and Undersherlff Kenneth Jones.
