SAUGERTIES – 18-year-old Kingston resident Faith Lockley was arrested by Saugerties Police on May 23, 2021, on the felony charge of Criminal Contempt of a Court Order after a fight with her ex-boyfriend.

Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said his officers responded to a call for help at 184 Market Street by a man complaining that his ex-girlfriend was at his residence causing a disturbance.  The man told police that he had an order of protection against Lockley.

The man said that he began arguing with Lockley and she struck him in the face.  When the male victim called the police, Lockley fled the scene.  On Thursday, May 27, Saugerties Police located the alleged assailant and took her into custody.

A records check of the Order of Protection Registry (OP registry) confirmed there was an active Order of Protection in place between the two.  Lockley was processed at Saugerties Police Headquarters and then arraigned in the Village of Saugerties Justice Court.

Lockley was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Saugerties Justice Court on June 7, 2021.
