WASHINGTONVILLE – The man wanted for cutting down flagpoles in Washingtonville and New Windsor has been arrested in California.
Washingtonville Police said Andre Narbonne was apprehended in California, extradited and transported back to Orange County by police officers from Washingtonville and New Windsor.
Both departments worked with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office to ensure Narbonne was brought back to face criminal charges for cutting down flagpoles and other vandalism that he is suspected of committing in July 2020.
He was apprehended after failing to show up to scheduled court appearances.
