POUGHKEEPSIE – Warrant searches at locations in Beacon and Chester have resulted in the arrests of two men on felony drug charges.

A Joint investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team, US Drug Enforcement Administration, and Homeland Security Investigations Hudson Valley led to the May 18 arrests of John Diamond, 27, of Chester, and Dylan Cronk, 31, of Beacon.

The search warrants were executed following an investigation into narcotics sales in Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange counties.

Seized during the searches were 1,300 pressed fentanyl pills, 1,700 Xanax pills, an AR-15-style assault rifle, 9mm semi-automatic pistol – both ghost guns, $3,000 in cash, scales and packaging materials.

The fentanyl pills were masked to have the color, shape and markings of oxycodone.

Assisting in the investigation were Beacon City Police, Blooming Grove Town Police, and the Orange County Drug Task Force.

Both Diamond and Cronk were released on appearance tickets.

Police said additional charges may follow.
