SAUGERTIES – A Village of Saugerties man was arrested early Saturday following two domestic incidents at the same location. When Saugerties Police investigated further, it was determined that Douglas Miller, 30, was also wanted on an assault charge in Camden, New Jersey.
As a result, local police charged Miller with two counts of criminal mischief stemming from the incidents at 22 Jane Street in the Village of Saugerties as well as being a fugitive from justice from New Jersey.
Saugerties Village Justice Robert Rightmyer declined to address the fugitive charge and released Miller on his own recognizance.
He is still wanted by authorities in New Jersey.
