POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie needs lifeguards so the city’s pools can open for the season, provided safety requirements can be met.  Brian Laffin, the city’s Superintendent of Parks and Recreation said that, in addition to lifeguards, the city needs pool attendants and pool managers to fulfill staffing requirements.

The pool attendants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining order at the pools. The lifeguards are responsible for the protection of people in the pool and the recreational facilities, and the pool managers monitor the day-to-day activities of the pools and can also perform lifeguarding duties.

Laffin is encouraging individuals that are seeking employment to click the link below to learn more about qualification requirements and how to apply.
