NEW YORK – A political action committee focused solely on electing Democratic moms has endorsed several area women for office.

“As mothers these candidates know the issues most affecting women and families today, especially during this pandemic, like the back of their hands,” said Liuba Grechen Shirley, Vote Mama’s founder and CEO. “I have no doubt that they will use heir lived experience and strong commitment to healthcare, economic opportunities, and education, to be the best voices for New York’s working families and build the New York our children deserve to grow up in.”

In the Hudson Valley, the PAC endorsed Rebecca Edwards, Brennan Kearney, and Yvette Valdes Smith for Dutchess County legislators.

In Columbia County, the PAC endorsed Tistrya Houghtling for New Lebanon town supervisor, and Marianna Anthonisen and Britt Buckenroth for New Lebanon Town Board.

In Westchester, they backed Jodi Kimmel for Bedford Town Justice and Stephanie McCaine for Bedford Town Council.
