NEWBURGH – The end of the month will mark two years since Newburgh City Manager Joseph Donat began running the government’s day-to-day operations and that means his employment agreement expires.
Mayor Torrance Harvey believes the city council is satisfied with his work and will renew his contract.
“I think the council is pleased with his work – I’m pleased with his work. Obviously, we all have areas and
room for improvement, but overall I think has done a really, really great job, and I think we are unified on that for the most part,” the mayor said.
If no new contract is reached by the end of the month, the city manager would continue working under terms of the old one.
