Bronx man charged in Saugerties with unlawful imprisonment

Saugerties Police Chief Joe Sinagra has been placed on paid administrative leave.

SAUGERTIES – A domestic dispute at the Comfort Inn on Route 32 in the Town of Saugerties led to the arrest of a Bronx man on a charge of unlawful imprisonment.

Saugerties Police allege that Uri Salazar, 26, physically prevented the victim from leaving his motel room at 4:50 a.m. on May 5.

He was taken into custody at the scene and charged at police headquarters with unlawful imprisonment.
