POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Board of Elections moved from their Cannon Street location this past weekend to a new office in Poughkeepsie.  The weekend relocation allowed the office to open for business on Monday, May 2.

The new office is located at 112 Delafield Street, in the complex where the county’s Office for the Aging is located, in the northwest corner of the city.

According to Republican Election Commissioner Erik Haight, the move was a necessary one.  The offices at 47 Cannon Street were in “an antiquated building loaded with mice and asbestos so we’re all quite satisfied with the conditions at our refurbished offices at 112 Delafield Street.”

Information for candidates and voters can be found here.
