Four taken into custody following deli robbery

DEERPARK – Town Police in Deerpark have arrested four people in connection with a robbery of the Hometown Deli on Route 209 in Westbrookville.

Police were alerted to the robbery at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, when according to police radio transmissions, a man and woman walked into the store and the woman said she had a gun in her bag.

It was not immediately known, what if anything they stole.

They fled in a Chevrolet sedan with a Pennsylvania license plate.

State Police units were dispatched and shortly, Deerpark Police units spotted the vehicle involved and stopped it on Oakland Valley Road.

Four suspects were taken into custody and police said there is no danger to the public.
